The historic Sessions House in St. Elmo will be the setting for a clothesline art show this weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 13 local female artists will exhibit work ranging from photography to abstract painting.
“It is the composition of the group that strikes me the most,” said Kate Treick, participating artist and spokesman for the group. “Some of the artists have been working for decades and serve as art teachers in Chattanooga, while others are emerging artists.”
Participating are Sarah Nichols, Laura Pettit, Diane Reed, Linda Thomas, Kristine Zacharias, Maria Cadillo, Cat Collier, Lauren Cox, Jennifer Kring, Katie Knutsen, Lauren Leutwiler, Suzanne Moore and Ms. Treick.
The show opens on Friday with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Hours on Saturday are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Sessions House is at 113 Ochs Highway. Call (423) 827-7182 for information.
