University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Lady Mocs rally for 3-1 SoCon tourney softball win

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga scored all its runs in the sixth inning for a 3-1 win over Western Carolina in the first round of the Southern Conference softball tournament this afternoon at Charleston, S.C.

Tiffany Baker’s double — her third hit of the game — pulled the Lady Mocs even in the bottom of the sixth. Michelle Fuzzard’s sacrifice fly and Brittany Eason’s RBI closed the scoring for UTC, which will play UNC Greensboro on Thursday at 3 p.m.

UTC pitcher Brooke Loudermilk recorded 14 strikeouts and allowed an unearned to collect the win.
