Chattanooga: Homeowner bound during burglary

A homeowner was bound this morning as two burglars made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and property, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department statement.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the Emerald Valley Subdivision in East Brainerd, the statement said.

Nearby Westview Elementary School was placed on lockdown status shortly after the home invasion, the statement read. The homeowner was not injured in the incident, the sheriff’s office said.
