* Example: North Georgia Plastic Surgery demonstrated Juvederm facial injections, which soften marionette (smile) lines.

UTC Student Alumni Council Yard Sale

* Mission: SAC sponsors programs to strengthen the college experience of students making them more likely to become active alumni after graduation.

* Highlights: Raised $700; all remaining items were donated to Goodwill.

Signal Crest UMC pumpkin sale

* Benefits: Signal Crest United Methodist Church’s youth mission program.

* Where: Signal Crest United Methodist Church.

* Goal: To sell “half a truckload” of pumpkins in 16 days (between 2,000 to 3,000) according to Kristin Robertson, director of youth ministries.

* Result: A sellout, with the exception of a few small pumpkins; church youth expected to net 25 percent of $8,000.
