Attenro Foster, the father wanted by police for failing to report the injury of his 8-month-old son following a car accident two days ago, turned himself in to police earlier this morning, according to Sgt. Jerri Weary, public information officer with the Chattanooga Police Department.

Foster was arrested on six outstanding warrants. He is currently in the Hamilton County Jail.

On Monday, Foster and his son were involved in a car accident on Talley Road, and Foster fled with his son, police said.

He took his son to the mother, but failed to inform her that the child was involved in an accident, Sgt. Weary said.

After noticing swelling in the baby’s legs, the mother took the child to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, where it was discovered that the baby had two broken legs, she said.

He faces charges of reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to render aid, aggravated child neglect and filing a false report. These are in addition to an outstanding domestic assault charge, police said.
