MCKAMEY ANIMAL CARE & ADOPTION CENTER
Cat & Dog Caregivers: Volunteers socialize with animals, show them love and attention, and exercise puppies or older dogs in the play yards.
Fostering: Volunteers open their homes to foster a dog, cat, kittens or pups for an overnight stay or until adopted.
Transportation: Volunteers take animals to adoption centers, rescue organizations or other centers that have made requests for particular breeds.
Adoption: Volunteers assist with animal handling and presentation at local pet stores that sponsor weekend adoptions.

PARTNERSHIP FOR FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND ADULTS
Hot-line Volunteers: Volunteers 18 and over needed to take calls for the 24-hour Crisis Hotline, including domestic violence and sexual assault calls from victims in need of help. Training continues this week. May work from home.
Development Intern: Volunteer needed five to 15 hours per week to assist with fundraising and marketing. .
Office Assistance: Volunteers to type and do other secretarial skills needed; training provided.

Adopt an Angel: Angel Trees are in local malls and other areas of business through Dec. 7. Volunteers needed to pick a child or senior adult’s angel from tree, purchase suggested items from wish list and return presents to tree location.
Bell Ringers: Volunteers needed until Dec. 24 to ring bells outside local stores at kettle collection points.
Serve a Holiday Meal: Assistance needed Nov. 27 and Dec. 25 to serve hot meals to the hungry or deliver meals to shut-ins.
Stuff a Stocking: Volunteers needed stuff children’s stockings through Dec. 7. Stockings are distributed to children on angel trees. Volunteers may elect to purchase items for stockings and prepare them for distribution.756-1023.

Barbie Patrol Groups and individuals needed to groom and dress Barbie dolls and action figures for sale in thrift store.
Toy Preparation: Groups and individuals needed to make sure donated games and puzzles have all pieces before being resold in thrift store.
Prayer Partners: Encourage others through anonymous notes and prayer in the Secret Samaritan prayer program.
Thrift Store Assistance: Individuals needed to sort and process donated items.

TRINITY HOSPICE
Caregiver Assistance: Volunteers provide support and companionship to patients with terminal illnesses and their families by writing letters, reading to patients, running errands, baking, yard work or making blankets and lap quilts. Chattanooga Room in the Inn: Tutors and volunteer art instructors needed to assist at after-school program; age and education requirements apply.
