Workshops held for homebuyers

Freedom Mortgage is holding homebuyer workshops throughout October. The workshops will be each Monday during October, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The workshops provide a free credit report and evaluations. Call 892-4718 for a reservation. Freedom Mortgage is at 7739 East Brainerd Road, across from a fire station.

Black Bear open to public

The Black Bear development in Dayton, Tenn., is having an open house today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Refreshments will be served, and mortgage representatives will be on hand. One log-style house, which is nearly completed, will be open for inspection. The 5-plus-acre lots are priced from $39,900 to $119,900, and most are on the bluff.

From Chattanooga, take U.S. Highway 27 north to Dayton. At red light No. 7, go left. Go right on Market Street. At the next light, turn left heading west on Highway 30 up Dayton Mountain. At the top of the mountain, turn left on Ogden Road, heading west for 3.5 miles. Take a left on Rigsby Road. The gated entrance of Black Bear is one mile away.

Seminar offered on homebuying

Jeffrey M. Grady with United Capital Lending hosts homebuyer seminars which are open to the public on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. The next will be this Tuesday.

Inspector speaks to investors

The Chattanooga Real Estate Investors Association will meet on Monday at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be at Asia Buffet, 6901 Lee Highway, near The Rush Fitness Complex. Carlton Freeman of Owl’s Nest Inspections will be the speaker. Call Ken Stevens at 619-1517 for more information.
