Walker Valley High School student dies in Bradley County crash

Staff Report

A Walker Valley High School student was killed, and two others were sent to Skyridge Medical Center, as the result of a traffic accident on Candies Creek Ridge Road about 4 p.m. Thursday.

Rear-seat passenger Daniel Casias, 17, died shortly after the accident, according to a new release from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, Brandon Vest, 16, and a front-seat passenger, Jean Croft, 15, were each treated and later released from the emergency room at Skyridge, according to the report.

“It appears the vehicle ran off the right side of the road in a slight curve and struck a wood fence,” the report said.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
