Chattanooga: Warrant issued for Overstreet

by Jacqueline Koch

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for the Rev. Eugene Overstreet after a warrant was issued because he failed to pay restitution in a case from 2006 for passing worthless checks.

Mr. Overstreet was supposed to pay restitution as part of his probation period but didn’t, according to Hamilton County officials.

Mr. Overstreet helped bring down former Hamilton County Sheriff Billy Long. He was the government’s confidential informant who helped get Mr. Long charged with 27 counts, including extortion, money laundering and possession with intent to sell cocaine.

Interesting, you can't help but wonder why this action is being taken know. Could be in retaliation for helping bring down Billy Long?????????
