Chattanooga: Women’s Summit coming to UTC

The Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga will host a Women’s Summit at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The summit, which includes lunch, will be held in the Chattanooga Room of the University Center.

Deborah Richardson, chief program officer of the Women’s Funding Network of San Francisco, will give the keynote address.

The mission of the Women’s Fund is to provide opportunity, encouragement, knowledge and resources through philanthropy and advocacy. Prior to holding the summit, the WFGC conducted focus groups in the areas of education, health and economic self-sufficiency to determine possible future work of the fund.

Ms. Richardson has a 30-year record in program development, administration and fund-raising. Prior to her appointment at the Women’s Funding Network, she was chief executive officer of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation. She will speak on the difference Women’s Funds have made in the lives of women worldwide.

The summit is open to the public as space is available. Reservations are required. Call or e-mail Katie Fuller at kfuller@cfgc.org or 265-0586.
