My name is Patti Davis and after thirty three years in the field of Radiology, doing conventional x-rays, mammograpy, CAT scan, MRI and even managing a small outpatient imaging facility in Florida, I am thrilled to be able to say at this time in my career, that " I love my job!"
I am a CAT Scan technologist at Chattanooga Oncology and Hematology and I have the privilege of working with some of the most caring staff you could ever meet. From our front desk to our discharge desks and all the staff in between, I can honestly say that each and every day someone from our staff will go out of their way to help, encourage, or just bring a smile to one of our many patients faces. Whether it's getting them a blanket, a cup of juice, help with a ride, or just making their time in treatment a more pleasant experience, everyone's goal is the same. Sure there are days that are stressful and not all the staff sees eye to eye, but one thing that rings true in our office is that we are all about patient care.
My primary job as a CAT Scan technologist requires me to start IV's and scan different body parts of the patient however, the real joy in my work is spending time with the patients and getting to know them and their families. I have come to admire their strenght, their faith, and their determination to beat this horrible disease and to live each day to its fullest.
Every day that I go to work I am encouraged to be a better person because of what these survivors teach me about this life and how precious it is.
At this time, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of COHA for a job well done and most importantly I would like to thank the patients of COHA for giving me the opportunity to serve them.
