Life Care unit gets new director

Life Care Center of Missionary Ridge, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, has received a new executive director.

Jeremy Gravell previously served as assistant executive director at Life Care Center of Red Bank in Chattanooga.

He is a native of Cleveland, Tenn., and earned a degree in marketing and long-term care administration. He lives in Ooltewah with his wife, Jordan.

Life Care Center of Missionary Ridge is at 708 Dwight Ave.

Sobel receives service award

Neil Sobel, a salesman at Long Mercedes of Chattanooga, received an award for customer service after Mercedes-Benz officials secretly shopped dealerships all over the Southeast region.

Mr. Sobel, who has been at Long Mercedes for five years, won $500 and tickets to the Tennessee Vols football game against the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“I’m very happy,” Mr. Sobel said about receiving the award. “I love working here and appreciate this opportunity.”

Tommy Nicholas, general manager, said Mercedes officials first shopped the dealership by phone, and Mr. Sobel was rated in the top 1 percent based on his service.

Mercedes then secretly sent someone into the dealership to rate the service, and Mr. Sobel was ultimately rated No. 1 out of all the southeastern region’s 73 dealerships, Mr. Nicholas said.

Cuthbertsons buy ServPro franchise

Jeff and Jessica Cuthbertson are the new owners of the ServPro of East Chattanooga franchise.

The company does fire and water cleanup and restoration services as well as mold cleanup. ServPro also cleans draperies, furniture and upholstery on-site, as well as ductwork systems. ServPro offers 24-hour response to fire and water damage.

“I look forward to providing the highest level of service to our customers,” Mr. Cuthbertson said.

Stock joins family practice

Dr. Alex Stock, a specialist in family medicine, has joined Dr. Julie Munson-Jackson in practice at Chattanooga Comprehensive Care in East Brainerd. The two physicians are affiliates of Memorial Health Partners and provide care for the entire family.

Dr. Stock is board certified in family medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis and completed residency training at the UT Family Medicine center in Chattanooga. He also is a graduate of Central High School.

Dr. Stock’s office is at 7446 Shallowford Road.

Surgical group creates PR unit

University Surgical Associates, a general surgery and general surgery subspecialty practice, has announced its formation of Creative Solutions Associates, a business strategy, marketing communications and public relations consulting group.

Creative Solutions serves as a division of University Surgical and offers a wide range of business and marketing services to health care practices and other regional companies.

Michael C. Ringering, University Surgical’s director of marketing and public relations, will lead the venture.

“There is a specific need for this type of service in and around our community, especially in other health care-related practices that have less time and staffing resources to devote to an overall business or marketing strategy,” said Craig D. Sarine, University Surgical’s administrator and director of business strategies for Creative Solutions.

The team at the new venture includes Kristiina Braden, a 16-year public relations and marketing communications veteran, and Megan Roberts, an external business-to-business sales and customer service expert.
