AUGUSTA, Ga. — As Masters co-leaders Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell made their preparations for today's third round, the players that barely survived the cut have begun their play Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club.
Among them is defending champ Trevor Immelman, who made the cut on the number at 1 over and has opened with two pars to remain at 1 over.
Tiger Woods will attempt to make a new personal best this weekend in search of his fifth green jacket. Woods, who is at 2 under and trails Perry and Campbell by seven shots, has never overcome a midway deficit bigger than six shots at a major.
Woods will tee off at 1:05 p.m. with Graeme McDowell; the leaders will start at 2:45 p.m.
