Urban League forming Young Professionals Association

The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga announces it is sponsoring the formation of a Young Professionals Association, with the goal of increasing involvement of young adults in the leadership and socioeconomic development of the Chattanooga community.

A kickoff party will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Chattanooga African American Museum, 200 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. The event is free and open to any young professional between the ages of 21 to 40.

“We want to encourage the next generation of Chattanooga leaders to explore the issues that impact our community,” said Warren Logan, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga. “By offering an outlet and resources for these pursuits, we’re confident we can make a positive impact on our community and help showcase Chattanooga as an ideal place to work, live and play.”

Tuesday is the deadline to register for the launch celebration. Call 756-1762.
