Two North Shore has been approved to be Chattanooga’s first LEED-certified retail development, according to a news release.
The consultant team from Energy Ace noted that Two North Shore is one of the first developments of its kind in the state of Tennessee as well.
Based on each particular sustainable and renewable element of the development, the U.S. Green Building Council is now finalizing how high a level Two North Shore’s certification will reach.
Two North Shore will celebrate its Second Annual Earth Day Festival on April 25.
The day will include free blow-up games, artisans displaying and working on art created from recycled materials and outdoor yoga classes.
“I’m very proud of the shopping center we’ve created, not only because it is the first LEED-certified shopping center in Chattanooga, but because it’s so unique,” said property manager Krista Steere.

The Tennessee Association of Realtors will offer the 2009-10 Core Course on April 21.
The four-hour continuing education class will be at TAR’s office in Nashville.
The class will cover contracts and contract problems. The cost is $40.
