Enjoying the benefits of its last 7:45 a.m. practice of the preseason, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team went through a light workout Saturday morning at Scrappy Moore Field.
Practicing in helmets only, the Mocs had as easy a session, from a physical standpoint, as they’ve had all preseason. That should allow them to have plenty of energy during Sunday afternoon’s scrimmage.
After a disappointing day Friday, Mocs coach Russ Huesman said he was pleased with the team’s 15th practice of the preseason.
“Mentally we were good and we got a lot done,” Huesman said. “I think we got a lot out of practice today.”
The Mocs will conduct their second scrimmage of the preseason at 3 p.m. Sunday at Finley Stadium. Prior to the scrimmage, the Mocs will take their team photo at noon, followed by a media session at 12:30 and fans can meet the Mocs from 1:30 to 2:30.
