LaFAYETTE: Sam Parker interview tape played in court

by Chloé Morrison

LaFAYETTE, Ga. — District Attorney Leigh Patterson is playing a tape in Walker County Superior Court this morning of murder defendant Sam Parker’s first interview with the GBI after his wife disappeared.

Mr. Parker, a former LaFayette police officer, is on trial and charged with killing his wife, who last was seen on March 21, 2007.

During Mr. Parker’s taped interview, he makes statements about where he was the night Mrs. Parker disappeared that are inconsistent with other witness testimony for last week.
