Student stunned with Taser at Brainerd

— A Brainerd High School student was stunned by a Taser on Monday afternoon after a fight between two students.

The school resource officer there said a fight began in the hallway in between classes. When both students were asked to stop, they refused, said Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson in a news release.

Because of their refusal to stop, the officer used a Taser to end the conflict, resulting in Monterell Neal being stunned, Ms. Atkinson said. The Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services was called to check on Mr. Neal, per department policy, but the student refused medical attention.

Mr. Neal was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and booked on a charge of disorderly conduct. The second student, who is not being identified because he is a juvenile, also was charged with disorderly conduct and was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center, Ms. Atkinson said.

"when both students were asked to stop, they refused". Bet they listen better next time. Some of these punks just don't have any respect for authority(or themselves). ALL school resource officers should have a Taser and know how to use it.
