Recap: A Washington-Grizzly Stadium record crowd of 25,698 witnessed a season-opening runaway over the Division II Mountaineers. Chase Reynolds rushed for 100 yards and tight end Steven Pfahler caught two touchdown passes as the Grizzlies totaled 444 yards of offense.

Recap: The Griz had to come from behind to go to 2-0. Montana trailed 3-0 at halftime and 10-0 midway through the third quarter before rallying. Despite the charge, the game was still in doubt in the final minute before Grizzlies cornerback Trumaine Johnson intercepted a pass in the end zone to turn away the Aggies. It was Johnson's second pickoff of the game.
Montana 49, Portland State 17
Sept. 19, Missoula, Mont.
Recap: Another win after another slow start for Montana, which trailed 14-0 late in the first quarter. A 56-yard touchdown pass from Justin Roper to Marc Mariani jumpstarted the offense, and Jordan Trip recovered a bad PSU snap in the end zone to tie the game. From there, it was all Griz as Andrew Selle passed for 213 yards and three touchdowns. Through the early part of the season, Selle split time with Roper, who left this game after attempting just three passes.
Montana 41, Northern Arizona 34 (OT)
Sept. 26, Flagstaff, Ariz.
Recap: Montana again had to rally, this time facing a 31-27 deficit with 3:52 left to play after the Lumberjacks scored 17 consecutive points. Selle's 45-yard touchdown pass to Sam Gratton put Montana back in front before NAU kicked a 47-yard field with two seconds left to force overtime. Selle connected on a screen pass with Ty Palmer for a 25-yard touchdown on the first play of overtime, and Shann Schillinger's interception in the end zone ended the shootout. Selle was 29-of-38 for 349 yards and three scores.
Montana 35, Cal Poly 23
Oct. 10, Missoula, Mont.
Recap: Mariani had 200 yards receiving and scored twice, and Reynolds had 153 total yards and three touchdowns as the Grizzlies rolled the 15th-ranked Mustangs. A homecoming crowd of 25,694 endured 25-degree weather to watch Montana overcome an early 10-0 deficit.

Recap: Despite getting outgained 489-353 in total yards, the Griz remained perfect behind Mariani's 82-yard punt return for a score and by converting twice on fourth down on the winning drive in the final minutes. Reynolds scored the winning touchdown on fourth-and-1 with 1:18 remaining.
Montana 45, Sacramento State 30
Oct. 24, Sacramento, Calif.
Recap: Thomas Brooks-Fletcher and Reynolds combined for four touchdowns and 245 yards rushing as the Griz again battled back from a first-half hole. Trailing 14-7 early in the second quarter, Montana successfully used two surprise plays on special teams -- an onside kick and a fake field-goal attempt -- to swing the momentum and set up touchdown drives.

Recap: Reynolds destroyed the No. 14-ranked Wildcats, churning up 241 yards rushing as the Griz seized control of the Big Sky Conference. Montana outgained WSU 506-299, and defensive end Jace Palmer's 57-yard interception return for a touchdown added to the lopsided total.

Nov. 7, Pocatello, Idaho
Recap: Brody McKnight delivered a 33-yard field goal as time expired to secure the Griz at least a share of the Big Sky title for the 12th consecutive season. Trailing by a point, Montana had the ball at its 17 with 1:25 left. Selle went 3-of-5 -- including a big 39-yard completion to Mariani -- to get the Grizzlies inside the ISU 20. After a penalty -- the Griz had 129 yards in infractions and three turnovers -- and two timeouts, McKnight drilled the game-winner.
Montana 38, Northern Colorado 10
Nov. 14, Missoula, Mont.
Recap: Junior running back Reynolds scored three times on senior day as the Griz won the outright Big Sky title. Reynolds finished with 151 yards rushing -- almost triple the 54 mustered by the Bears.
Montana 33, Montana State 19
Nov. 21, Bozeman, Mont.
Recap: In the 109th meeting of these in-state rivals, the Griz secured the program's fifth perfect regular season behind a near perfect showing from Selle. Selle was 17-of-22 for 163 yards and three scores. Oddly, the game was tied 2-2 midway through the second quarter before Montana pulled away to take a 69-35-5 lead in the series.
Montana 61, South Dakota State 48
Nov. 28, Missoula, Mont.
Recap: A season of slow starts appeared to finally catch up with the Griz. Down 48-21 with 5:40 to go in the third quarter, Montana recorded a historic comeback. Mariani's 98-yard kickoff return for a score ignited a stretch of 40 unanswered points. Mariani caught 12 passes, amassed 389 total yards and scored three times.

Recap: The Griz forced 10 turnovers and limited the Lumberjacks to 51 yards rushing. Since Mariani's kickoff return late in the third quarter of the playoff opener, Montana outscored its foes 91-0 in the previous 80:40.

Recap: ASU quarterback Armanti Edwards' historic career came to an end in the Montana snow. The back-and-forth showdown was finally decided when Edwards' fourth-down pass from the Montana 2 fell incomplete. Reynolds gained 193 yards in 23 carries and scored twice.
