Braly: Confessions of a brownie lover

I’m always tempted to buy every “As Seen on TV” product I see on TV. The actors make everything look so true to form and simple. Like the Perfect Brownie Pan set. Would it really work? Only one way to find out: get one. So I did. I love brownies. In fact, I will readily admit that if I could come back in my next life as one who would never gain weight no matter what I eat, I’d stick to a diet of brownies and diet cokes. I know. Don’t say it. Why bother with the diet part?

Less I digress further, let’s get on with my take on the brownie pan.

The positive: This is a brownie lover’s dream come true. No longer did I have to struggle with the first couple of brownies out of the pan. They come out with ease, thanks to a divider you put in before pouring the batter in the pan. And best yet, no one gets a bigger brownie. All sizes are the same. Fair’s fair. When the baking’s done, the divider pops out, and so does the bottom. What remains are perfect brownies, just as the name implies.

The downside: The pan is a little too small, so you can’t make a big platterful of brownies. Remedy: Make two batches. Very simply solved.

The Perfect Brownie Pan retails for around $19 and can be found at places such as Walgreens and Walmart
