Chattanooga: Chestnut Tower gains 55 VW staff

About 55 Volkswagen employees moved into Chestnut Tower Monday as the company set up its downtown presence.

Employees who had been at Enterprise South industrial park packed items Friday and came into the new Chestnut Street offices on Monday, said Jill Bratina, VW Group of America’s corporate communications director.

The leased space at Chestnut Tower has capacity for about 150 people, she said. Other VW workers needed at the plant site will remain there.

Chris Ferguson of building owner Franklin Haney Co. said about 40,000 square feet of the 192,000-square-foot tower is leased.
