CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — The state has issued a cease and desist order to a Michigan company for not having a Tennessee license to do work on the Volkswagen office space in Chattanooga.
According to WRCB-TV, D&S Contractors of Berkley, Mich., had a $377,000 contract for renovations on the project.
David PerGoda, owner of D&S, told the station that his company was blindsided by the order.
VW released a statement quoting D&S as saying all appropriate steps are being taken to resolve the issue.
D&S has 10 days to respond to the state's allegations.
