Combine ‘great learning experience’ for QB Nash

Calhoun (Ga.) High School’s Nash Nance participated in the U.S. Army All-American football combine that ended Saturday in San Antonio. The junior quarterback prospect filed a daily diary for the Times Free Press:

Saturday:

It has been a great learning experience at the U.S. Army All-American combine for three days! I sat today with all the juniors watching the 2009 East-West all-star game in San Antonio. As I watched the game I realized humbly how blessed I am. My height, strength, arm and good grades will put me in a position to play in this game next year.

It will also give me so many opportunities to play football collegiately. There may be some quarterbacks in 2010 that are very good, but none that I am in awe of. I had many compliments by players all over the nation and got to compete with the best this week.

During the combine my name was mentioned as being a top 2010 quarterback, but none of that really matters to me. Just improving my game and winning games for Calhoun High School is all I care about. All the recruiting will take care of itself. Hopefully I will have the oppurtunity to play in this game next year.

I believe I belong with the best quarterbacks in the nation, and I will continue to out-work all my competitors to prove that!
