Let's not forget Kaspersky. It has a complete protection plan as well (AV/Firewall/Anti-Spy). I moved away from Norton/Symantec for the same reason you mentioned, it being clunky, I didn't know it lost weight since then.
For backup/imaging, I agree, Acronis does the job very well.
