The Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tenn., is hosting Noon Time Barbecues this summer at its open-air pavilion to coincide with Independence Day and Labor Day holiday weekends.

The pavilion offers a spectacular view of the Jack Daniel's Hollow and the town of Lynchburg, Tenn., and it is tailor-made for great southern cooking and old fashioned fun.

"In addition to great food, we will have all sorts of games and activities that the whole family can enjoy at our three Noon Time celebrations," said Steve May, director of the Jack Daniel visitors center.

The Noon Time Barbecue meals, on July 4 and September 5, will feature barbecue chicken and pulled pork, creamy coleslaw, homemade potato salad, baked beans, cornbread, baked apples, Jack Daniel's chocolate pecan pie and non-alcoholic beverages. Local artists will provide live music and guests can enjoy games such as bung toss, shuffleboard and horseshoes.

The three Noon Time Barbecues are open to guests of all ages and no alcohol is served. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children ages four-eleven; children three and under are free. For reservations and information about group discounts, contact the distillery at 800-657-6910.
