TLC’s fashion critic Stacy London, co-host of the popular “What Not to Wear” television show, didn’t waste much time offering a quick assessment of fashion sense around here.
“Capris and florals concern me,” the often acerbic style expert said this morning as hundreds of women lined up to get her autograph at She: An Expo for Women.
Ms. London’s fashion presentation this afternoon is the highlight of today’s She events. The two-day expo continues Sunday with an appearance and cooking demonstration by Paula Deen.
The Convention Center crowds didn’t seem deterred by the prospect of a once-over by Ms. London, who along with her TV partner Clinton Kelly help people make over their wardrobes and quickly teach basic fashion rules. The pair is known for their direct feedback on personal style, clothing, shoes and accessories.
Lynda Black of Dahlonega, Ga., drove two-and-a-half hours to see the star of one of her favorite TV shows.
“I am so excited,” she said, adding that her son gave her a ticket to the expo as a birthday present.
