KNOXVILLE — Defensive back Eric Berry is Tennessee's lone pick for the coaches' All-Southeastern Conference preseason first team.
The 5-foot-11, 203-pound junior from Fairburn, Ga., was the first team defense's only unanimous pick. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
Other Volunteers include center Josh McNeil and offensive lineman Chris Scott named to the offensive second team. Offensive lineman Jacques McClendon and wide receiver Gerald Jones were named to the third team offense.
On second team defense are defensive lineman Dan Williams and linebacker Rico McCoy.
