Riverbend admission pin discounts end Thursday

The Riverbend Festival starts Friday, which means is the last day for discounts on admission pins and tokens.

Pins purchased by Thursday are $28. On Friday, pin prices rise to $37. One-night wristbands will be sold at the gates for $23. Children 10 and younger are admitted free with an adult.

Pins are available at area Mapco Mart locations.

Festival tokens, required for all food and beverage purchases at the riverfront, may be purchased in advance at a 10 percent discount at area Bi-Lo stores. Tokens are valued at 50 cents each and are sold in $10 rolls. Tokens are nonrefundable but may be used at the 2010 Riverbend Festival.

Neither pins nor tokens are needed for Monday’s Bessie Smith Strut on M.L. King Boulevard. Admission is free to the event, and food vendors do not accept tokens.
