The identification of a woman’s body found floating Saturday afternoon in Harrison Bay near Island Cove Marina is not yet known, according to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.
Ms. Atkinson said the body, found by a boater in the marina at about 12:30 p.m., was decomposed.
More information will be available Monday after an autopsy is performed by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office, she said.
“I’m sure they are treating it as suspicious until they do more investigation and find out what happened,” Ms. Atkinson said.
