The after-school play areas at the Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter got a makeover today thanks to 150 local T-Mobile employees who volunteered for the job.
A group of T-Mobile employees met with the children earlier this month to get an idea of the projects the children wanted to see. The volunteers returned today to implement those plans.
They put a mural on the back wall of the basketball court, painted the goal posts and resurfaced the softball field. Volunteers also painted and furnished girls and boys after-school areas with Nintendo Wii games, flat-screen television and sofas.
