Shower McKamey kittens and puppies with gifts

In the midst of wedding shower season, don't forget the animals. The McKamey Animal Center will host a Kitten and Puppy Shower on Saturday. Each spring and summer shelters experience a surge of kittens and pups in need of homes, according to McKamey board president Ann Ball. To assist the center in caring for all the homeless animals, shower organizers are asking folks to collect and deliver to the center needed items such as canned cat and dog food, toys, beds and paper towels.

Shower guests will be served light refreshments from 11a.m.-3 p.m., as well as get a chance to visit with some of the newest arrivals. Shower gifts will be accepted today and Saturday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1-7 p.m. For a complete wish list visit www.mckameyanimacenter.org.
