Gospel meeting

* Gospel Broadcasting Network will televise its second Nationwide Gospel Meeting from the Tivoli Theatre at 7:30 p.m. July 5-8. The theme of the nightly messages, which will be preached by GBN regulars B.J. Clarke and Glenn Colley, is "If the Foundations Be Destroyed." Jeff Scott of Nashville will lead congregational singing. Music opportunities

* The Chancel Choir of Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, will present a service of patriotic music on Sunday at 6 p.m. The choir will be accompanied by organ, piano, brass and timpani, and the congregation will be invited to sing hymns and other songs celebrating the nation's heritage and freedom. Ekklesia Baptist changes name

* The former Ekklesia Baptist Tabernacle, 8018 Georgetown Road, has changed its name to Savannah Bay Baptist Church. Church officials said the name was changed because many people was not aware the Greek word "ekklesia" simply meant "assembly." The congregation, organized in 1977, will celebrate Homecoming Sunday at 10:30 a.m. For information, call the church at 238-9496.
