Chamber events

* Networking on Wednesday at 8 a.m. the YMCA downtown at 301 W. Eighth St.

* Business Planning Session will be held Thursday. The counselor discusses basic business planning including financial projections and legal entity. You will receive an information packet containing phone numbers and addresses for information about business licenses and taxes and other start-up materials. The event is at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Free. Call 423-756-8668 to register or for more information.

* The Chamber's offices are closed on Friday in observance of Independence Day.

Seminars, meetings

* Business Advice: Free business help is available from members of Score, Counselors to America's Small Business, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday through Friday at the Franklin Building, Suite 515, 5726 Marlin Road, at Eastgate Town Center. For more information, call 553-1722.

Business Planning: Free counseling for business people is available from the Chattanooga Small Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd., Suite 202. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
