Organic grocer coming to Gunbarrel

Earth Fare, an organic grocery chain, will open January 2010 in the former Goody’s store on Gunbarrel Road, according to an announcement made today.

Earth Fare is an Asheville, N.C.-based organic and natural food grocery chain. The store will locate in Gunbarrel Pointe shopping center next to Target, according to a statement by CBL & Associates Properties Inc.

“With its unique selection of local and organic foods, this store will introduce Chattanooga to an innovative brand of natural retailing,” Howard Grody, senior vice president of leasing for CBL, said in a statement.
