Volkswagen executives today announced that the German auto manufacturer will give $5 million to K-12 and higher education over the next five years.
Officials made the announcement at Calvin Donaldson Elementary School. Some money will renovate part of the school for a science lab.
The event was attended by Gov. Phil Bredesen; Dr. Horst Neumann, member of the VW board of Management Volkswagen; Frank Fischer, CEO of Volkswagen Group America Chattanooga Operations LLC, and Stefan Jacoby, president & CEO of VW.
