Barrett: Fun with media bias

By Steve Barrett

Fun with media bias

There was hilarity aplenty when the Media Research Center hosted its annual gala recently and offered its usual scalding critique of the liberal media.

A few highlights:

— MRC founder and President L. Brent Bozell III parodied the media (slightly) by noting the pleasure reporters seem to take when they can work into a single article references to former President Bush, former Vice President Cheney, Hurricane Katrina, Halliburton and “pedophilic homeschoolers.”

— Culture warrior Andrew Breitbart urged listeners not to tune out the parade of hyperactive leftists who populate MSNBC: “Please tell your friends to watch these people. These people are manifestly insane.”

— Nationally syndicated talk radio host Mark Levin took aim at perennial liberal apologist Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball”: “He has so few viewers that you could reveal national security secrets on his show and not violate the espionage act.”
