Return of the New Binkley Brothers to Studio ‘99

by Sean Phipps

The New Binkley Brothers are possibly my favorite local band. They pay homage to the music of our region, but do so in a young, fresh and ultimately modern way. Matt Downer, Clark Williams & Daniel Binkley are talented musicians who are welcome in Studio ‘99 anytime. On this week’s MUSICcast, we have a few songs from a 2-hour session recorded in Studio ‘99 at the Times Free Press.

Listen here .

some shows:

The ole’ possum himself, George Jones, will perform at Chattanooga’s Memorial Auditorium tonight.

Saturday night, Joe Jack Talcum will perform at JJ’s Bohemia. “Punk Rock Girl” by the Dead Milkmen is one of the best songs ever. This is a not-to-miss show.

Also on Saturday night, Southern Culture on the Skids will perform at Rhythm n’ Brews at 10pm.

On Tuesday night, Jimmy Herring (of Widespread Panic) will perform with Oteil Burbridge at Rhythm n’ Brews.

Have a good weekend!
