Village grows in Hixson

DEVELOPMENT PROFILE

* Name: Creek’s Bend Village

* Location: Adams Road in Hixson, alongside Highway 153

* Status: Sixty townhomes and patio homes have been built. About 150 units are planned. Nine of 12 homes that built in the past year have sold.

* Prices of townhomes: $170,000 to $195,000

* Prices of patio (single-family) homes: $274,000 to $290,000

* Developers: Roger Radpour and Aaron Smith of Mack Development

* Builders: Donna Tucker and Mr. Radpour of Terramere Construction; other builders welcome

DEVELOPMENT FEATURES

* Amenities: Clubhouse with swimming pool

* Other features: Streetlights; sidewalks; underground utilities; level lots; and home entrances have no stairs, Mr. Radpour said.

* Homeowners association: Dues are $50 per month. The association is creating a raised vegetable garden bed and plans a garden with benches on a community lot, said association president Donna Pitts. “We’ve got a great mixture in the community of ethnicity and ages,” said Ms. Pitts, who recently moved to a Creek’s Bend Village townhouse when she downsized from a home in Soddy-Daisy.

* Townhouse floor plans: Two units to a building; two bedrooms and two bathrooms; one- or two-car garage; one level; 1,500 square feet; handicap friendly, Mr. Radpour said.

* Patio home floor plans: One-level plan with 2,000 square feet; three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms; two-car garage; two-level plan with 2,250 square feet; three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms; two-car garage; bonus room which can be a fourth bedroom; loft upstairs.
