Lookouts, UT-Tech baseball washed away

The Wednesday rain has washed away sporting events at another local venue. A little before 10 a.m., Chattanooga Lookouts officials said Wednesday’s doubleheader at AT&T Field would not be played. Earlier this morning, Wednesday’s opening round of the Southern Conference softball tournament at Frost Stadium had been rescheduled for Thursday.

The Lookouts’ 11:15 a.m. game today against Jacksonville will be part of a doubleheader Thursday night, with the first game starting at 6:15 p.m. Each game will be scheduled for seven innings.

Wednesday’s college baseball game between the University of Tennessee and Georgia Tech has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Tickets purchased for the game between the Vols and the Yellow Jackets can be used for any future Lookouts game, according to Lookouts officials.
