Cooking diva Paula Deen will be in Chattanooga this summer serving up her Southern charm at She: An Expo for Women.
The two-day event includes shopping opportunities, entertainment and food. It is presented by the Chattanooga Times Free Press. The expo will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center July 11-12.
Ms. Deen will be the star of Sunday’s show, demonstrating several of the recipes that have made her an icon in the culinary world. She’ll also sign autographs and books for attendees.
“I can’t wait to come to Chattanooga to visit with all of y’all,” Ms. Deen said. “There’s no better way to spend an afternoon than with girlfriends, and I sure am looking forward to making some new ones in your city.
“We’ll do some cooking and share some recipes, but most of all, we’ll just have fun being together. And when you think about it, isn’t that what makes cooking in the kitchen fun?”
The expo will feature booths packed with health and beauty products. There also will be a fashion show and opportunities for appearance makeovers.
“We’re excited to be bringing such a great ambassador of Southern women to Chattanooga,” said Jason Taylor, company president of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. “The She expo will be a fun-filled way for the women of our community to come together and share in a couple of great afternoons doing the things they enjoy.”
Ticket prices for both days are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 get in free with a paying adult. Tickets will go on sale May 22. For ticket information, call 757-6914.
