Opening statements today in Tennessee bondage death

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Opening statements are today in the trial of a Columbia woman accused of murdering her husband during a sex bondage game.

A jury was seated Monday to hear the second-degree murder trial of 26-year-old Rebecca Bargy, charged with tying up her husband for 20 hours in April 2008. He was asphyxiated.

Her attorney has said it was accidental asphyxiation and that James Bargy was a consenting participant.

Investigators said they asked detectives in large cities like New York and Los Angeles how cases like this are handled.

Authorities have said they found James Bargy’s body in the couple’s Columbia home with his arms and legs strapped behind him and duct tape over his mouth.

Of course this woman should be prosecuted!! Even "if" her husband consented to be tied up, even "IF" her husband WANTED her to kill him, it is still a CRIME!! She knew what she was doing, and I absolutely believe it was 1st degree murder, not 2nd degree. Millions of wives in America could follow her lead and claim, "oh, he liked it!!" Get real LEGAL SYSTEM!!
