Spring Fling: Kelly sisters, Garner and Shackleford tennis winners

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Sisters Kayla and Ahmee Kelly won the state Class A/AA doubles tennis championship for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences this morning. They defeated Julie and Brittany Covington of Clarksville Academy 6-2, 6-4. Boyd-Buchanan’s Tarah Garner successfully defended her A/AA singles title, besting Madison Patey of University School of Jackson 6-1, 6-3, and Sadie Shackleford of St. Andrew’s-Sewanee also defended here Division II-A singles championship by defeating her sister, Avery, 6-4, 6-3. GPS’ Sarah Evans fell in the Division II-AA final to Hutchison’s Hayly Humphreys 6-3, 6-3.
