Spikes suspended by Florida

Florida senior middle linebacker Brandon Spikes has been suspended for the first half of Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt after reaching into the helmet of Georgia tailback Washaun Ealey this past weekend and gouging his eyes. The suspension was announced this morning by Gators coach Urban Meyer, and the SEC announced this afternoon that it has accepted those disciplinary actions.
