Four Southeast Tennessee industries have received state grants for worker training, according to news releases.

Mars Snackfood in Cleveland received $48,581 to train 43 employees in automated manufacturing controls and in leadership.

Olin Corp.’s Chlor-Alkali Products Division in Charleston received $50,000 to train 67 employees on crane equipment, hardware and software.

In Dayton, Goodman Manufacturing was awarded $23,530 to train 51 workers in computers, math and electrical fundamentals. TenCate Grass North America received $2,000 to train 10 supervisors on human resources.

Storm Copper Components of Decatur received $50,000 to train 35 employees in standards and health and safety leadership.

The Incumbent Worker Grant program is administered by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The program provides funds to the skills of workers in existing businesses, according to the news release.
