The Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council 6099 will host its monthly First Friday Fish Fry tonight at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, corner of Moore Road and North Terrace. The communitywide event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the OLPH Parish Life Center.
Dinner will include fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies. Chicken fingers are also on the menu. All-you-can-eat plates are available for $6. To-go orders are also available.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wheelchair Foundation, which purchases wheelchairs for those in need. Last year, Holy Family Council donated more than $11,000 to the foundation (www.wheelchairfoundation.org) through the proceeds from monthly fish fries and other activities.
The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.8 million members in more than 14,000 local councils. Members of the local council contributed more than 8,500 volunteer hours and $85,000 to the community last year to support local churches and seminarians, help organizations that serve the developmentally challenged, promote pro-life causes, sponsor youth development programs and encourage stronger families.
