Good Samaritan dies in freak accident Thursday

A good Samaritan died Thursday after a freak accident in the 1300 block of McCallie Avenue.

According to Chattanooga Police Traffic Sgt. Gary Martin, a pedestrian darted out into traffic around 4:15 p.m. and was struck by a vehicle which attempted to maneuver around him.

Another driver that witnessed the accident stopped his vehicle to render aid to the first victim and was struck by a another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Both victims were transported to Erlanger where the good Samaritan died after fighting for his life.

The initial victim is listed in critical condition at this time.

The victims’ names have not been released.

Even though i do not know the names of the people involved in this accident i will pray for the families involved.God bless this young man for trying to save his fellow man,even though he lost his life doing so.
