Q: I have lost 30 pounds and have 10 more to go, but I’m stuck. Why is it that the last few pounds seem to be the hardest to lose?
A: When it comes to weight loss, people will find a plan that seems to work best for them. How-ever, after a while, your body transitions from what it was comfortable with to the new norm, and weight-loss plateaus. This is when you need to try something different. Take a look at your daily food intake regimen. Write down every-thing you eat, along with the portion sizes you eat. Double-check the nutrition facts panel on all food items. Be sure you are actually eating the serving size that is listed on the food label. If you eat the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, change it up. If you are not already exercising, get on a workout plan. Aim for at least three to five days per week for 30 minutes at a time.
