$16 million apartment complex announced in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Construction will start in January on a $16 million luxury apartment and retail complex on APD 40, the developer announced this morning.

Tim Keach, president of TDK Construction of Murfreesboro, Tenn., said he decided to build the gated, high-end community because of its proximity to the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga and the Wacker Chemical plant coming to north Bradley County.

Officials gathered this morning at the site across from the Spring Creek development for the announcement.

The Retreat at Spring Creek will feature eight three-story buildings and six carriage units with garages for a total of 199 apartments, Mr. Keach said.

The 13-acre complex will include a business resource center, clubhouse and resort pool and retail shops. It connects to the Mouse Creek greenway.

Mr. Keach said this is the first high-end development of its type in Cleveland since the 1980s.
