Man arrested for vehicle burglaries

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man on Friday for several vehicle burglaries that happened on Oct. 23 in Lakesite, officers said.

Jimmy Dean Roy, 28, was arrested after deputies searched the 7905 Mill Creek Road residence and found several suspected items including a handgun, golf clubs and electronic devices, said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.

The detectives received an anonymous tip that led to Mr. Roy’s arrest on Thursday after the airing of surveillance video obtained from the Soddy-Daisy Pawn Shop, Ms. Atkinson said.

Mr. Roy was arrested in a vehicle outside the residence that was confirmed stolen from Red Bank, she said. He was charged with burglary of an auto, theft of more than $1,000, theft of more than $10,000 and possession of marijuana, she said.

This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated, she said.
