The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce ranks in the top five economic development organizations in the country in the automotive category, according to an Expansion Solutions Magazine awards program.
The Chamber received the award for the leading role it played in attracting the Volkswagen assembly plant project to Chattanooga.
"In fairness, our many partners at the local, state and national levels who worked side by side with us to win this plum project deserve the award, as well," said Tom Edd Wilson, Chamber president.
